CmdMemo policies
Privacy Policy
How CmdMemo handles local preferences, browser code execution, and external contact links.
Effective August 11, 2026The short version
CmdMemo does not require an account, use analytics, display advertising, or send code from playgrounds to a server. Most visits involve no personal data collection by CmdMemo.
Local browser storage
The theme toggle stores a small preference named cmdmemo-theme in localStorage. Dedicated simulator pages also save the code in their editors to localStorage so a draft can survive a refresh; resetting the simulator removes that saved draft. The optional terminal stores its current folder and command history in sessionStorage so they remain available during same-tab navigation and are discarded when the tab closes. These values stay in your browser and can be removed through your browser settings. CmdMemo does not use advertising or analytics cookies.
Code playgrounds
HTML and CSS previews run in sandboxed frames. Python runs through a self-hosted Pyodide runtime in a browser worker. The code you enter and its output remain on your device and are not submitted to CmdMemo.
Server logs
The hosting provider may process routine technical information such as IP addresses, request times, user agents, and requested URLs for security and service operation. CmdMemo does not currently combine that information with user profiles.
Contact link
The Contact page links to Google Forms. If you follow that link, Google’s terms and privacy practices apply. Review the destination before choosing what information to provide.
Changes
This policy may be updated as the site changes. Material changes will be reflected by a new effective date on this page.
